Netmarble has rolled out a major update for its idle RPG. They’ve added a Legendary fighter Athena Asamiya to The King of Fighters AFK. And along with that, there are several themed events and tons of useful rewards. Who is Athena Asamiya in The King of Fighters AFK? The latest character to join the roster is a high school pop idol. She uses her psychic abilities and Kung Fu skills to fight for world peace. You can try to recruit her through the Athena Asamiya Pick-Up Event, which runs until October 29th. Alongside the Athena Asamiya Pick-Up Event, the [Endurance] Synergy Pick-Up Summon Event will also be available until October 29th. It gives you and all the other players increased odds of obtaining fighters who specialize in [Endurance] Synergy. Halloween is here, almost! The King of Fighters AFK is also getting into the Halloween spirit with the Spooky Night 1 Event. It’s running through November 5th. Logging in daily during this period will reward you with seasonal goodies. They include the Jack-o’-Lantern profile and valuable items like Ruby and Fuel. Meanwhile, the Tropical Island Event will be open until October 22nd. It lets you try your luck at earning the Legendary pets Anone and Psybunny. The King of Fighters AFK is based on SNK’s classic The King of Fighters franchise. It reimagines the iconic series with nostalgic pixel art inspired by The King of Fighters R-2 from the NEOGEO POCKET COLOR era. It has all the popular fighters from the series, letting you form your own dream team for intense 5v5 battles. Strategy also plays a big part here, as you can combine up to 15 different fighters and formations to create unique deck setups.
