There’s a new type of Amber out there… or is there? We’ve heard a lot of talk about the Grow A Garden Historic Amber mutation, and seen a lot of confused players not sure if they should leave their crops for longer. Players, and some content creators have made some big claims about a hidden mutation in the Prehistoric update. You may already be aware of the Amber mutation, which will evolve to Old Amber and Ancient Amber if the crop is left long enough. Well, supposedly, a crop left for seven to ten days (the time varies depending on where we’ve heard the claims) it will gain the Ancient Amber mutation, and get a massive 150x multiplier. Is Historic Amber Real? As of the time of writing, we have not seen any evidence that Historic Amber is a real mutation. We have seen no screenshots of the mutation in-game. We have not found any video tutorials with evidence of the mutation, and the timeline does not add up. If the mutation was introduced in the first prehistoric update, or the second, it would mean that it was fairly widely available at this point. More than ten days have passed since Amber became available. However, we have not seen any instances of it outside of claims from users with no evidence. Remember, plenty of players also claimed their pets died after getting struck by lightning. Take anything someone tells you without evidence on Grow A Garden with a pinch of salt.
