What Was The Admin War?

The Admin War was a big confrontation between Jandel, lead developer of Grow A Garden, and SammySpyder, lead developer of Steal A Brainrot. Twitter arguments eventually resulted in a challenge to outdo one another in the weekend’s Admin Abuse.

Who Won?

The Admin War was first intended to be a head-to-head admin abuse, but this wasn’t quite how it worked out. Both games were kind of victims of their own success, as so many players showed up for Admin War that the servers started to crash. As a result, both Admin War events were delayed, and fell at different times. This was great for players of both games, as it meant they had the chance to get hold of both sets of freebies, but it does make it a bit harder to name a clear winner, as both games peaked at different times.

We checked out polls, one from Jandel’s Twitter, and one from the Grow A Garden Discord, both listing Jandel and Grow A Garden as the winner. (Though those are in communities where there are more likely to be Grow A Garden players, but we couldn’t find any polls on the other side.)

Who Ran The Best Event? (In Our Opinion)

Now here’s our take.

As far as DG is concerned, Jandel came out of the Admin War on top. The Admin War event in Grow A Garden was an awesome sequence. It clearly had a ton of effort put in, and while rewards are always nice, we’re suckers for spectacle here.
