Block Fortress 2 has officially landed on mobile. A tower defense game that heavily draws inspiration from Minecraft, it’s the sequel to the first game, which was released in 2012. Indie studio Foursaken Media is the creator, and the game is free to play.
Mine, build, craft, defend!
You set up walls, turrets, traps, and other mechanised defenses to hold back endless waves of enemies. Once the attacks start, you jump into the battlefield and fight alongside your troops. You get to use rocket launchers, plasma rifles, mini-guns, or a jetpack during the battles.
The game mixes block-building, FPS and TPS combat, and tower defense. It gives you complete freedom to construct bases however you want, from towering fortresses to sprawling castles. There are over 200 different block types available, including shield generators, teleporters, farms, land mines, and zip lines.
You’re a soldier who’s also a builder, a commander, and a fighter, constantly switching roles to survive the challenges of the Blockverse. On that note, catch a glimpse of Block Fortress 2 below.
The game has four different races for you across missions, survival, and sandbox modes. There is a dynamic day and night cycle, harsh weather, lava flows, acid pools, alien creatures, and other environmental hazards.
Get creative in Block Fortress 2
An extensive mission builder gives you the tools to create your own scenarios. These range from large-scale battles to tricky stealth challenges or even obstacle courses.
You can also share the missions with others and download and play user-generated content as well. You can even build a personal home on your command ship.
