After releasing Infinity Nikki on mobile in December last year, InFold Games is thinking out of the box for the game. Their upcoming collab is a surprise (or more of a shock for some people). Infinity Nikki x Stardew Valley is a crossover event launching in September.

The collaboration rolls out in version 1.9, scheduled worldwide for September 2nd. It will bring elements of Stardew Valley directly into Miraland. The teaser trailer shows a familiar face from Stardew, the Junimos.

Junimos are tiny forest spirits that originally helped restore the Community Centre, which appears to be at the centre of the collab. While details remain scarce, it’s likely they’ll appear in puzzles or challenges. Why don’t you take a look at the trailer yourself?

Infinity Nikki x Stardew Valley feels like a misfit, though. Infold Games’ dress-up adventure hasn’t been performing well over the past few months. Recent gacha sales and buggy updates left parts of the game nearly unplayable.

The last update, Version 1.8 Danqing Season, was a step toward recovery. It was based on the cultural art of ink painting, and the visuals were really stunning. Now, the upcoming collab has made some players whine that the event feels like a distraction from larger issues.
